Frequently Asked Questions
Content is a key part of the web design process.
Firstly, there needs to be the right amount of content that is fresh and unique, as well as the right density of keywords in order to make your site Google-friendly.
Secondly, the content must be useful, engaging and written to produce a powerful user experience. Both the site and each individual page should have a clear purpose that is communicated in such a way as to keep your site visitors on the page. What’s more, the goal is to drive site visitors to the next step. This is all done with the written word.
Getting the right content can make or break a website, and this is something I help with every step of the way. Furthermore, I always work closely with clients to get the right structure in place, as this is an essential component of the user experience. I also advise on how the content should be written and am more than happy to edit and help with this to make sure you get the most out of your website.
I have a background in writing and marketing, as well as many years experience designing websites, so you are definitely in the right place to get results driven content on your website.

We offer a full branding and graphic design service.
Brand identity is an integral part of making your site resonate with target customers. Creating a positive visual impact is a vital part of getting a browser’s attention. The online world is hugely competitive. Making do with a lack luster brand identity or poor page design just isn’t enough. The reality is that many site visitors abandon poorly designed pages with mundane branding. What’s more, they go on to have no further interaction with the business.
Communicating your message visually is no easy task. In fact, it’s hard to keep site visitors on a page. Statistically, most people stick around on websites for less than 15 seconds. This of course is a very small window of time to grab their attention and get them interested enough to start reading and clicking. This is why branding, design and visual communication are at the core of a strong web presence. You have to make impact.
Not all websites are created equal.
Branding and design are one of the cornerstone components of a winning website. Make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab the attention of your site visitors. Get in touch to find out more on 07412 787709.
All our websites are responsive and designed for mobile devices, tablets, laptops and desktops.
This means that the design adjusts to the screen size the site is being viewed on.
A good website will work perfectly and seamlessly across all devices. This is exactly how we set up our websites.
It’s hard to get away from the multi-device age we live in. How people search across different industries does vary, but to put it in perspective about half of all web traffic is on a mobile device.
This is a real shift, and it’s continuing to swing in this direction. In fact so much so, that when we design websites, mobile design is our first consideration. Everything else flows in behind that.
What’s more, since July 2019 Google has rolled out “mobile-first indexing” as default. This means that Google mainly uses the mobile version of the content for indexing and ranking.
There are a set of best practices and guidelines from Google about how to set up and structure content for the different devices – which we follow. Furthermore, everything we do in relation to all our websites has SEO and Google in mind, just as we do with responsive web design. We run tests to make sure your site is Google friendly for each platform, making sure you have the very best opportunity for ranking well.

Videos are a great way to get the attention of website visitors!
Videos are becoming increasingly important for websites. This is for many reasons, from getting visual attention and interest to being able to talk and make eye contact directly to your potential customers. Videos provide insight into your business and the people involved that is not possible to convey as directly or powerfully in other mediums.
Furthermore, videos are a useful tool for SEO and well worth investing in. Google owns Youtube. To this end, Youtube opens up another avenue for online marketing, which is all useful in supporting the online visibility of your website. This is something we can manage from start to finish to showcase your company in the very best light.
Using a professional videographer or a designer to put together a slideshow is a good investment. In addition, there are some useful video apps available that can help to get you started. The important thing is have a Youtube account linked with your site and to incorporate a professional, short video if possible.
The cost of a website starts from £850.
Prices vary, depending on the features included in the site and the size and complexity of what is involved. Get in touch to find out more.

We are based in Eye, Suffolk, and provide website design services to local business in the Suffolk and Norfolk areas, as well as further afield.
I’m very happy to meet at your location or in my office in Eye, Suffolk, which ever is easiest for you! From there, often the best way is to keep in touch by phone and email so that we can efficiently bring the website together. I like keeping in close contact with my clients, and am always available by phone if you have any questions, or can meet up for the next step if that’s helpful. Location is really not a problem because of the way we work. As well as London, clients can easily be based in places across Suffolk and Norfolk, such as Eye, Diss, Stradbroke, Long Stratton, Debenham, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Ipswich, Southwold, Framlingham, etc. If you would like to discuss your site please get in touch.
We can arrange everything from start to finish, so you don’t need anything in place at all!
Here is a checklist of things that we need in order to produce your website. However, we will work with you in all these areas as needed.
- Brand identity and logo
- Website purpose and objective
- Keywords you think people will use to search for your site
- Site map and structure
- Text for pages
- Images and possibly video
- Domain name
- Hosting
We will go through each of these items with you and help to get them ready. Creating your website is a collaborative process from start to finish.
For example, we will discuss what the purpose of your site is. From there we can isolate the goal and call to action that we can promote on your site. This might be for people to call you, purchase a product, sign up for a free trial, etc.
Next we will look at key words, which are really important. I will ask you for the keywords you think people will use to search for your business online. From there I will put these into some software and work out which keyword variations get the most traffic and which are most likely to result in visitors that have purchasing intent, or that are ready to fulfill the goal we set for your site. With these keywords in hand, I will pinpoint the content length that is needed and what else we should include in the page.
Next, we need to think about the look and feel of your page. Your branding and logo will feed into this. If you don’t have branding yet, you are in the right place. We offer a full design service and can plan your brand with you and design your logo. If you need a video or slideshow for your site we can also help with that. If you do have branding already, I will use this as the basis for the site design.
Finally, we also provide hosting and can help you pick and register the right domain name.
If you have any questions, please get in touch. I look forward to helping you with this.
With just a few seconds to keep a site visitor’s attention, images are a vital part of the user experience.
This is why we put a lot of emphasis on getting the right images for your site and your target audience. Depending on your needs, we can either use stock images or arrange a photographer to capture exactly what you need. Indeed, in many cases we use a mixture of both.
Including strong images of the key people involved in the business, as well as powerful product photos, can make such a huge difference to the impact of the website. Talk to us about this. It’s very difficult to make a visually strong website without professional pictures, and with nearly all new websites we work with the client to get the perfect images.
In addition, we also have a wonderful illustrator that can help your website stand out from the crowd.

We create websites you can easily manage yourself.
All our websites are built in WordPress. This is perfect because it allows you to update pages yourself and blog yourself. You have complete control over your site. Keeping content fresh is a search engine ranking factor, as well as something that keeps site visitors interested.
Some of our clients don’t have the time to write blogs and focus on their website. This is why we have recently set up a content management package, where we write and optimise your blogs for you. We have years of experience, and can get it done in a Google friendly way, with a focus on keywords and a writing style to keep your visitors interested and engaged.
In addition to keeping your site up-to-date with fresh content, your WordPress platform does also need to be updated regularly. This is really simple to do, and I will train you before we hand over the site. You simply follow the prompts when you log into the back end of your site. However, if you would like us to do this, we are more than happy to manage this for you.
In summary, you can do as little or as much as you like once your site is built. You can blog every day, every week or not blog at all and just check the software is up to date every few months. Alternatively, we can take the reigns and keep it technically up-to-date and write blogs for you. Let us know if you have any questions.
